Every published photograph is credited and licensed. This page will be generated from the same image records that appear on the species and guide pages.

Current status

No third-party photographs are published on WildScope in this build. The seed species profiles are text and structured data only, so there is no image ledger entry to list yet. This page will list each photograph, its creator, source page, license and changes before any image is published.

License policy

WildScope accepts only public-domain, CC0, CC BY and CC BY-SA images. Images under a non-commercial (NC) or no-derivatives (ND) license are not accepted, because an ad-funded site is commercial use and published images are commonly cropped or resized.

  • Public domain: no rights reserved; credit is still shown where the source provides it.
  • CC0 1.0: no rights reserved; credit is shown as a courtesy.
  • CC BY 4.0: attribution required.
  • CC BY-SA 4.0: attribution required, and an adapted image is shared under the same or a compatible license.

Attribution format

Each credit follows the TASL pattern: title, author, source and license, plus a note describing any change such as cropping or resizing. A credit links to the original source page and to the license deed. The credit stays with the image when it is reused in a social card.

What is not accepted

No hotlinked images, no “found on Google Images” images, no user uploads, and no image with an unknown license. A government domain does not make every file on it public domain; the credit line must support the license claim.

Corrections

If a credit or license is wrong, send the page URL and the correct source through the contact route. The image is removed from the page while the claim is checked.
